Scott George, an Osage Nation tribal member, is the first Osage Oscar nominee. He wrote for “Killers of the Flower Moon” the Oscar-nominated original song “Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People)” which is heard in the final scene of the film. George is the first Indigenous nominee in the original song category in Oscars history and will be performing with his group, The Osage Singers at the Academy Awards this Sunday night.
